Congratulations to the winners of the competitions of scientific works of Higher Education Students, Young Researchers and Doctoral Students

Congratulations to the winners of the competitions of scientific works of Higher Education Students, Young Researchers and Doctoral Students held by the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (LMA).

By the resolution of the Presidium of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, on February 21, 2023, prizes and letters of commendation were awarded to students, doctoral students and young researchers.

In the competition of LMA 2022 of scientific works of young scientists and doctoral students the prize was awarded to:

• Dr. Renaldas Žydelis. Future climate change will accelerate maize phenological development and increase yield in the Nemoral climate.
• Doctoral student Paulina Martusevičė. Enzyme-assisted extraction of plants for developing plant-based products and functionality.

Letter of appreciation for Dr. Mykola Kochiieru. The effect of crop cover and soil water retention on physico-chemical and biophysical quality of soils of different origin.

The winner of the LMA 2022 competition of scientific works of students of higher education institutions was master of science (MSc) who conducted research at the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry:

• MSc Neringa Matelionienė. Determination of Fusarium pathogens DNA quantity in weeds, pathogenicity and influence on wheat grain weight. Supervisor Dr. Skaidrė Supronienė.

Letter of appreciation for MSc Milana Augustauskaitė. Impact of chitosan products on SM levels in plant tissues ex vitro depending on treatment duration & conditions. Supervisor Dr. Vaida Sirgedaitė-Šėžienė.
