Congratulations to the winners of the competitions of Young Researchers, Doctoral and Higher Education Students

Congratulations to the winners of the competitions of scientific works of Young Researchers and Doctoral Students, Higher Education Students, held by the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (LMA).

In the competition of scientific works of young scientists and doctoral students the prize was awarded to researchers from LAMMC:

• Dr. Dorotėja Vaitiekūnaitė. Microbial allies: their po-tential in forestry.
• Dr. Vytautas Čėsna. The potential use of the biological insecticide Foray 76B and natural plant hormones to enhance the defensive response and resistance of Scots pine and Norway spruce to insect pests and pathogens.

Letter of appreciation for Dr. Viktorija Januškevičė. Biochemical profile of plant materials and functionality of enzyme-assisted extraction and fermentation process.

The winner of the competition of scientific works of students of higher education institutions was master of science (MSc) who conducted research at the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry:

• Algimanta Kundrotaitė. Quantitative determination of secondary metabolites in Cannabis Sativa L. using various instrumental analysis methods. Supervisor Dr. Karolina Barčauskaitė.
