On March 4–5, researchers Dr. Danutė Karčauskienė and Dr. Gintaras Šiaudinis visited the University of Southern Denmark, Odense. The visit was related to the activities planned for the Interreg VI-A South Baltic Cross-Border Cooperation Programme project “Eco-designing for the coastal zone nutrient's circularity” (ECONUT). Partners from Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, Sweden and Germany participated.
During the meeting, commitments of the project were presented, and various financial and strategic issues were discussed. Guest lecturers spoke about the market, innovations and versatile use of high-value seaweeds.
The participants of the event visited the University laboratories and had the opportunity to learn about the research being carried out there, including the research planned in the project.
The project participants decided that the next partner meeting will be held in September in Lithuania.
