International cooperation is the path to open and high-level science

In order to strengthen mutual international cooperation, on May 25–28, LAMMC representatives, including Dr. Gintaras Brazauskas, Dr. Vita Tilvikienė, Dr. Vidmantas Bendokas, Dr. Birutė Frercks, Dr. Monika Vilkienė, Dr. Rita Armonienė, and Dr. Gintarė Šidlauskaitė, visited leading Estonian scientific institutions.

  • On May 26, they visited the Centre of Estonian Rural Research and Knowledge (METK), inspected the latest infrastructure, and learned about ongoing laboratory and field research.
  • On May 27, prof. Hannes Kollist presented the ongoing projects and scientific research related to plant physiology at the University of Tartu, and project manager Triinu Lööve presented the activities of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre of the University of Tartu.
  • The Estonian University of Life Sciences (EMU) was also visited, during which they learned about the research conducted at the university in the fields of forestry and agriculture.

The mission was financed by the European Union NextGenerationEU Fund project “Development of a strategy for reciprocal international cooperation at the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry” (No. 10-038-T-0017) and the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry.
