LAMMC has won Baltic Research Programme competition

Eight projects led by Latvian scientists have been selected for funding under the Baltic Research Programme call for proposals in Latvia. Six of eight joint projects will be carried out with these institutions from Lithuania: Lithuanian Energy Institute, Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, National Cancer Institute, Vilnius University.

One of them “Improving adaptability and resilience of perennial ryegrass for safe and sustainable food systems through CRISPR-Cas9 technology” (EditGrass4Food). Coodinator in the Institute of Agriculture Dr. Kristina Jaškūnė. Total amount 1 000 000 Eur, LAMMC – 227 561 Eur.
