LAMMC researcher participated in the international PrimSeedPower COST Conference in Sarajevo

From 16–18 June 2026, the first annual conference and Management Committee meeting of the COST Action CA24156 PrimSeedPower took place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together researchers and experts from across Europe.

LAMMC was represented by Dr Rita Armonienė, Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Genetics and Physiology, Institute of Agriculture.

The conference showcased the latest research on seed priming, seed biology, plant resilience to environmental stresses, epigenetics, phenotyping technologies, and sustainable agriculture. Participants discussed innovative seed priming technologies and their practical application to improve crop resilience to adverse environmental conditions and enhance agricultural productivity.

The main objective of COST Action CA24156 PrimSeedPower is to strengthen international collaboration in developing innovative seed priming solutions that increase plant resilience to climate change while supporting more sustainable agricultural systems.

During the Management Committee meeting, participants discussed future project activities, upcoming collaborative research initiatives, and opportunities to expand international scientific cooperation.
