On November 11–14, LAMMC researchers Gintaras Brazauskas, Vita Tilvikienė, Vidmantas Bendokas, Monika Vilkienė, Birutė Frercks, Rita Armonienė and Gintarė Šidlauskaitė visited Norwegian research institutions: Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO).
The aim of the visit was to strengthen scientific cooperation, share experiences and get acquainted with the scientific infrastructure and research conducted at NMBU, NIBIO and the newly established PheNo (The Plant Phenotyping Network of Norway). At the end of the visit, general discussions were held on further cooperation and the initiation of possible joint projects.
The experience gained during the meeting will be used in preparing a strategy for promoting the internationalization of LAMMC and implementing new working principles at LAMMC.
The mission was funded by the the European Union NextGenerationEU Fund project 'Development of a strategy for reciprocal international cooperation at the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry' (No. 10-038-T-0017) and the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry.
