October 4–7 PhD students Kristina Bunevičienė from Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (LAMMC), Institute of Agriculture, Agrobiology Laboratory with Donata Drapanauskaitė and Andrius Šarka from LAMMC, Agrochemical Research Laboratory attended in 9th International Agricultural Symposium AGROSYM2018, Jahorina, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
„Agrosym“ is considered nowadays as the most important scientific event dealing with agriculture and rural development in the Balkan area. This international agricultural symposium is held annually. The symposium attracted participants from various countries: Iran, Montenegro, America, Japan, Egypt, Poland, etc. The consent left a great impression on arrival. Agrosym is a symposium that focuses on the generation of young people. PhD students are encouraged to participate actively and to establish contacts.
„Agrosym“ covers the following thematic areas: plant production, plant protection and food safety, organic agriculture, environment protection and natural resources management, animal husbandry, rural development and agro-economy, forestry and agroforestry.
During the symposium PhD students from Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry presented their research:
PhD students Kristina Bunevičienė and Donata Drapanauskaitė have gained experience leading the section “Environment protection and natural resources management“ together with the PhD student Zeinab Hazbavi from Iran and professor Fedro Zazueta from America.
Participation was useful not only because of the opportunity to communicate and establish friendly international relations with the scientists and PhD students, but also to find out about their research problems which are also very close in our contemporary world.
A total of 200 oral presentations and 900 poster presentations have been presented at the symposium.
