On March 19, representatives from Hiroshima University, Japan – Deputy Director of the International Department Dr. Shunsaku Komatsuzaki, Prof. Ayyoob Sharifi – visited the Institute of Forestry, LAMMC.
During the meeting, the activities of the LAMMC and the Institute of Forestry were presented. The guests from Japan were most interested in forest sustainability issues, the experience of wooden construction in Lithuania, forest biomass, climate change and smart cities.
Possibilities for cooperation, exchange of doctoral students and researchers and joint projects under the Horizon Europe program were discussed.
