The Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry as well as the Lithuanian Energy Institute, will be transformed from budgetary to public institutions.
The Government has approved this proposal, presented by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, on August 26, 2020. The change of the legal status will enable more efficient conduct of basic and applied research important for the state, society and business and use of the research results for the development of a higher value-added economy.
