The Research Council of Lithuania and 12 research and education institutions (REIs), including the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (LAMMC), are launching the project “Strengthening the competences of Innovation and Technology Transfer Centres”.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the competences of ITPC, promote the creation of an entrepreneurial environment in research and education institutions, develop the potential of applied research, improve the effective transfer of scientific knowledge and technology, and increase the involvement of institutions in international research and innovation markets. The project implementation period is February 14, 2025 – December 31, 2028. The contract was signed on December 19, 2025.
Total project value 13,387,366 EUR, EU funding amount 11,903,843 EUR. Funded from the European Regional Development Fund.

The project will strengthen the competencies of ITPC employees in commercialising scientific knowledge, intellectual property management, and entrepreneurship. It is planned to promote science and business cooperation, participation in international networks, exhibitions and business missions. The national ITPC network will also be created and strengthened.
The 2022–2030 development programme is managed by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sports of the Republic of Lithuania. The project is funded under the progress measure No. 12-001-01-02-01 "Strengthening innovation ecosystems in science centres". The project is co-financed by the European Union.
