Three projects of LAMMC scientists received funding

The NEXUS Joint Research Grant 2026 winners are:

  • SUNROOT – Plasma Conversion of End-of-Life Solar Modules into Hydroponic Substrates, led by Dr. Gediminas Kudirka (LAMMC), Dr. Vilma Snapkauskienė (LEI), and Dr. Vidas Pakštas (FTMC) – each heading their institutional research teams.
  • AgroBioCel – Valorisation of agricultural waste for the creation of bioactive bacterial cellulose structures. Promoting sustainability across agricultural and food chains while reducing waste and energy consumption, led by Dr. Lina Dėnė (LAMMC), Dr. Žaneta Rukuižienė (FTMC), and Dr. Inna Pitak (LEI) – each heading their institutional research teams.
  • SolarBioImpact – Plant Biodiversity in Solar Power Plants: Interactions Between Management Practices, Photovoltaic Module Operation, and Microplastic Emissions, led by Dr. Valda Gudynaitė-Franckevičienė (LAMMC), Dr. Ieva Uogintė (FTMC), and Dr. Mantas Marčiukaitis (LEI) – each heading their institutional research teams.
