On February 25, Prof. Shun-Fen Tzeng, Executive Director of the Science and Technology Division of the Taiwanese Representative Office in Lithuania, visited the LAMMC.
During the visit, the activities of LAMMC and the Institute of Horticulture, strategic scientific directions and priorities were presented, and the ongoing fundamental and applied research, laboratory infrastructure and applied advanced molecular genetics and biotechnology methodologies were discussed.
The discussions focused on strengthening international cooperation, developing joint projects, exchanging scientists and involving young researchers. The possibilities of trilateral cooperation between Lithuania, Latvia and Taiwan were discussed. The parties agreed to continue the dialogue and develop a long-term partnership.
