We are proud to announce that the conference-forum “New Plant Genomics and Phenotyping Technologies for a Sustainable and Competitive Bioeconomy” has officially been included in the calendar of events for Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2027.
This decision was approved during a meeting of the Governmental European Union Commission. In 2027, Lithuania will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the second time in the country’s history. During the Presidency, around 30,000 international guests are expected, and more than 300 international events will take place across the country.
Our event will contribute to one of the key priorities of Lithuania’s Presidency – strengthening innovation, technological progress, and a competitive and sustainable bioeconomy. The conference will bring together Lithuanian and international researchers, innovation developers, business representatives, and decision-makers to discuss the latest developments in plant genomics, phenotyping, and sustainable agrobiology, as well as their application in creating high value-added innovations.
The event will feature presentations by scientists from LAMMC, VMU, and the University of Copenhagen, while the discussion forum will explore how new technologies can enhance the competitiveness of the country’s bioeconomy and be successfully implemented in business.
We are delighted to be part of Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2027 programme and to contribute to the international dialogue on innovation, science, and a sustainable future.
