Young researchers shared their experiences from the internships abroad

22th of January 2020 Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry organized the seminar “Scientific visits abroad – an impulse for the researcher's career ”.

During this seminar chief researcher Dr. Jurga Miliauskienė (LAMMC, Institute of Horticulture), senior researcher Dr. Valda Araminienė (LAMMC, Institute of Forestry),  PhD student, junior researcher Donata Drapanauskaitė (LAMMC,  Agrochemical Research Laboratory), PhD student, junior researcher Kristina Bunevičienė (LAMMC, Institute of Agriculture) and researcher Dr. Renaldas Žydelis (LAMMC, Institute of Agriculture) introduced their experience at scientific internships in different countries.

Salomėja Vanagienė form the Lithuanian Young Scientists Union also participated in the seminar. She presented this organization, goals, events, etc. 

• Dr. Jurga Miliauskienė took an internship in USA – “The response of photosynthetic and antioxidative systems to pulsed LED light“.
• Dr. Valda Araminienė took an internship in France – “Impact of urban trees on air pollution reduction in Kaunas city“.
• Donata Drapanauskaitė took an internship in USA – “Research of slow release fertilizers made using model wastewater solutions and low soluble magnesium minerals“ .
• Kristina Bunevičienė took an internship in USA – “Bulk and granular biofuel ash structure analysis and interaction of the main ash component (CaCO₃) with organic acids“ .
• Dr. Renaldas Žydelis took an internship in Germany – “Modeling hemp development under nemoral climate conditions“.
