Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry has implemented the European Union’s Structural Funds financed project to create an Open Access Centre for Modeling of Fruits and Vegetables Processing Technologies to help develop new innovative products. The modern laboratory develops products valued worldwide. The joint work with JSC "Rūta" introduced many new products, which are based mostly on lyophilised (freeze and vacuum dried) fruits, berries and vegetables. One of these products - actinidia with white chocolate, has been awarded the gold medal in the international exhibition in London. Another product, manufactured with R&D laboratory business partner JSC "Paslaugos žemdirbiams" freeze-dried pumpkin cubes of quince juice was awarded a diploma in the exhibition "Choose a Lithuanian Product 2013". In 2014 carrrot-apple juice (Small partnership "Sulčių fabrikas") got exhibiton "Agrobalt" award.
