  • An Open Access Joint Research Centre of Agriculture and Forestry was set up in 2012 (Director Prof. Habil. Dr. Zenonas Dabkevičius) with Aleksandras Stulginskis University. The following laboratories of Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry are operating there: Agrobiology (head€“ Prof. Habil. Dr. Gediminas Staugaitis), Microbiology (head Dr. Skaidrė— Supronienė—), Timber Use, Quality and Processing Technologies (head€“ Dr. Marius Aleinikovas), Laboratory of Biological Signs (head Prof. Habil. Dr. Vidmantas Stanys). Scientific experiments are conducted in the open access laboratories, research comissioned by business entities, research work is performed by undergraduate, graduate and PhD students.

  • Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry has implemented the European Union’€™s Structural Funds financed project to create an Open Access Centre for Modeling of Fruits and Vegetables Processing Technologies to help develop new innovative products. The modern laboratory develops products valued worldwide. The joint work with JSC „Rūta“€ introduced many new products, which are based mostly on lyophilised (freeze and vacuum dried) fruits, berries and vegetables. One of these products -ˆ’ actinidia with white chocolate, has been awarded the gold medal in the international exhibition in London. Another product, manufactured with R&D laboratory business partner JSC „€œPaslaugos žemdirbiams“€“ freeze-dried pumpkin cubes of quince juice was awarded a diploma in the exhibition „€œChoose a Lithuanian Product 2013″€. In 2014 carrrot-apple juice (Small partnership „Sulčių fabrikas“€œ) got exhibiton „€œAgrobalt“€ award.

Prof. Dr. Vytautas Ruzgas), Cryo-biology (head Dr. Rytis Rugienius), Molecular Markers (head Dr. Kristina Jonavičienė—), Eco-physiology (head Dr. Virmantas Povilaitis), Soil Physics and Productivity (head€“ Dr. Gražina Kadžienė—), Bio-organic Phyto-compounds Diagnostics (head€“ Dr. Alvyra Šlepetienė—), Plant Pathology (head Dr. Skaidrė— Supronienė—), Regional Agricultural Systems (head Dr. Virginijus Feiza), Plantation Forestry laboratories (head Dr. Gintautas Urbaitis).
