Based on LR Minister of Education and Science’s order, in 2011 Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry was granted a right for doctoral studies in 4 science fields:
- Agronomy and Forestry jointly with Vytautas Magnus University,
- Ecology and Environmental Science jointly with Vytautas Magnus University,
- Biochemistry jointly with Vytautas Magnus University and Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.
The doctoral studies provided by Centre conform to the contemporary problematics of agricultural and forestry sciences, up-to-date methods and facilities are used in research work. Studies and research work are headed by experienced researchers. Centre’s researchers of respective fields participate in the development of curricular and their subject programmes, take part in doctoral studies' committees and thesis defence boards.

Admission to the Agronomy PhD Program

Admission requirements:
- Application to participate in the competition on behalf of the head of the institution
- Diploma certifying a master’s degree or equivalent classification and its Supplement/Appendix
- Recommendations from two scientists. One scholar's recommendation/feedback must be the guide of the selected main topic. Recommendations cannot be older than one calendar year
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivational letter
- List of scientific publications (with full bibliographic description) and copies of them; if the article is not yet published – a certificate issued by the editorial board of the scientific journal about its acceptance (after the review procedure) and its manuscript
- Copy of passport page with personal data or a copy of identity card
- Documents confirming the change of surname
- Other documents that the applicant wishes to submit
IMPORTANT – before You apply for the recognition of Your Master diploma, please send us the application to issue the document that You are planning to participate in the competition at LAMMC. We will send the institutional letter to SKVC, but all the rest documents have to be sent by Yourself.
